Gili Trawangan is the most popular and busiest island. It is the central foreshore area of restaurant, hotels, turtle hatchery and dive operations. It has three excellent dive sites like sunset reef, shark point and malik reef where you can find blue giant clam, hawksbill sea turtle, green sea turtle and tropical fish.
Gili Meno is the quietest island and a place to escape. Snorkeling is a must and the blue coral is superb. Gili Meno has a salt lake and famous for its bird sanctuary. Meanwhile, Gili Air has the largest local population. You can enjoy the local culture and marine life possibilities. Gili Air is a good place to see tropical fish, beautiful coral garden and turtle nursery.
Experience the northern part of Lombok’s village of Senaru where the two renowned waterfalls Sendang Gila and Tiu Kelep standing on the slopes of Mount Rinjani. It takes 2.5 hours driving from Katamaran Resort. You will pass Lendang Bajur traditional market and monkey forest. When you arrived at Sendang Gila waterfall you have to walk down approximately 20 minutes and you will be amazed by a cool breeze enveloping the rainforest.
Continue a soft trekking around 30 minutes you will find Tiu Kelep waterfall where you can swim in cold water and take a rest alongside the pool formed by the waterfall.After that you will visit the old mosque of Bayan Beleq which build in 1600. It has a unique roof and wall architectures from bamboo. To enter the mosque you must use the Sasak traditional dresses and follow the rules. A traditional hand weaving village can be seen at the front of the mosque.
It is about one and half hour driving from Senggigi to reach the two beautiful waterfalls that simply hidden in the rice fields and the hills at the foot of the Rinjani Volcano. The Waterfalls are located in Aik Berik Village, North Batukliang, Central Lombok, situated in a tropical jungle with lots of different trees and plants.
From the entry of the park, you have to do the soft trekking for about 10 minutes to the first waterfall called Benang Stokel and another 30 minutes walking to the next waterfall called Benang Kelambu.
The name of Benang Stokel in local language means a ball of thread because the shape of the waterfall almost looks like a thread that has been tied to each other. Based on the folktales that goes among the villagers, the Benang Stokel Waterfall used to be a place for Dewi Anjani ( one of the Goddess and the gatekeeper ) to clean herself up before going back to the Rinjani mountain. The climbing track to Benang Stokel is a shorter track to go to Mount Rinjani compared with other tracks from Senaru, North Lombok or Sembalun, East Lombok, but the track is a bit precipitous for the beginner.
After the trip to the twin waterfalls, then this trip continuing to Narmada Park to see a replica of the crater lake of Segara Anak. From there you will drive for about 35 minutes to Lingsar temple, the most important temple in Lombok where all Hindu’s come to worship before driving back to the resort.

The tour begins in Selong Belanak Beach in the southern part of Lombok. Selong Belanak Beach has pristine white sand beaches, offers opportunities for marine sport activities such as surfing, diving, sunbathing and fishing. We then continue to Mawun Beach, about 20 minutes drive from Selong Belanak Beach.
It has a great view and the wave is very calm for snorkeling. After enjoying a beautiful panorama of Selong Belanak and Mawun Beach continuing onwards to the most beautiful Kuta Beach on the south of Lombok where Bau Nyale ceremony is held every year which normally fall in February. The local people join together at dawn to catch sea worms.
Afterwards visit the traditional and unique weaving village of Sade, a good place to learn about how the Sasak community get married in a unique ways called “Merarik” and to perceive local people doing their daily routines.
Next stop is Sukarara Village to see songket weaving costume, Sasak cloth weaving and handicraft. After your Sasak tour experience, you will have time to relax and watch a spectacular sunset view in the evening at Katamaran Resort.
The tour starts from Kebon Roek traditional market. This market is located in Ampenan area. This traditional market sells various types of local needs such as fruits, fishes, vegetables and spices. The tour continues to Banyumulek, where you can visit the Lombok’s famous handmade pottery village and continue to Sukarara village which is famed as the producer of good quality Lombok’s woven cloth. Later the trip continue to Lombok’s King summer palace of Narmada. Narmada Garden is built in 1727 as it is designed as a replica of Mount Rinjani.
The story of Narmada Garden begins when King Anak Agung Ngurah became too old to do the ritual sacrifice (pekelem) to the top of Mount Rinjani, he decided to build a replica on the city center. After visiting Narmada Garden, we will end up at one of the holiest Hindu temple called Lingsar Temple. The temple itself was built in 1714 by King Anak Agung Ngurah, and nestled beautifully in lush rice fields. Once a year sometime in November or December at the time 6th full moon, there will be a festival held in Lingsar called “ Perang Topat “ (ceremonial war with rice cakes wrapped in woven coconut leaves), as the sign of thanksgiving for all God’s blessings.
On your way back to Katamaran Resort, you will visit the very evocative temple of Batu Bolong. The Batu Bolong temple is about three kilometers from central Senggigi. It is built on a black rock and got the natural hole on the underneath of the temple. The temple is relaxing surrounding facing to Bali’s Mount Agung.

Enjoy a fun trip in the water whilst you can boost your adrenalin in Suranadi river tubing. Located in Buwun Sejati village on a scenic Suranadi river approximately 1 hour 20 minutes drive from Katamaran Resort. This activity is suitable for a wide range of ages and a great place even for non-swimmer. Before the trip begins, some professional guides will give you a brief information about safety instruction for tubing and you will be protected with life jacket, helmet, elbow and knee pads.
The tube is about 1 – 1,5 hour for 2km float with natural breathtaking view and rural environment. Afterwards, you will be arrived at finishing point and walked around 10 minutes where you can take a shower and have your own traditional Indonesian buffet lunch before going back to the resort.

Another Gili chosen as the tour objects is Gili Nanggu. It is situated in Sekotong which has the best snorkel point. The trip from Katamaran Resort to Kijok Harbor takes 2 hours drive and continue 10 – 15 minutes to reach Gili Nanggu.
When you step down from the boat, the first thing that you will realize is pristine beach with crystal clear water. It has a charming underwater scenery with beautiful coral offers great snorkeling opportunities. There are also mangrove communities along the coast.

Senggigi is located on the Western part of Lombok. From the resort, it takes 10 minute drive to the city center. Senggigi is the main tourist destination on the island, there are many hotels and restaurants nearby. It is one of the popular beach that suitable for swimming, surfing, and sea kayaking. The fine surrounding provide you the great views whilst you can sit back and relax while enjoying sunset.
The trip continues to Malimbu and Nipah. Take a moment to stop over at Malimbu area, just to take a quick shot from the incredible panorama of Malimbu’s cliff and the coastal area.
As our trip goes to Nipah village Which you can find many ‘warungs’ selling fresh grilled fish served with the local cuisines such as Plecing Kangkung (cooked water spinach served with grated young coconut, fried nuts, and top with spicy chilly sauce), Beberuk (raw round eggplant and long bean cut in dice, shredded shallot, and top with spicy chilly sauce), Sambel Terong (grilled eggplant mixed with chili sauce) and white rice. Drive approximately less than an hour from Nipah to the North, you will arrived in Pusuk or famous as “ home to many monkeys ”. It offers you the incredible views of the hills, the valleys, the three gili’from Pusuk Pass and also the healthy fresh air.
This trip ended up with our journey to Karang Bayan, the rattan planting area, which is you can see the making of “ketak” handicraft. Ketak is in Sasak language means wickerwork. After the half day trip along the country side, it’s time to return to the resort.

Gili Nanggu can be reached by boat from 2 different places, from Lembar (the place where the public ferry from Bali arrives) takes around 40 minutes and further west from Tawun Harbour or Kijok Harbour takes around 25 – 30 minutes. The drive from Senggigi to Lembar could be around an hour and to Kijok Harbour or Tawun Harbour could be around one and half hour. Gili Nanggu has white sand beaches surrounded by coconut palms and mangroves, makes Gili Nanggu became the paradise island for visitors and stunning place for fishing. After that, you will snorkel and can see the beautiful and friendly fish there. There are some type of fishes that is often caught in nearby of Gili Nanggu such as Barracuda, Mahi-Mahi, Tuna and some tropical fishes.
